Stone Mandalas: A Centuries Old Technique for Our Times
with Jennifer Plummer
The word “mandala” is from Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean “circle,” a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself–a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
In this workshop, you will learn to use the dot-painting technique to create your personal Mandala on a rounded stone. All materials and supplies are provided.
Jennifer Plummer is a blissfully retired RN who has been sharing her rock-painting expertise here and on the East Coast. Her teaching style is easy to follow, step-by-step, and puts even beginning artists at ease.
Fees: $35 for members/$40 for non-members. $10 for materials.
