Meet at the present location. Draw and create banner for new building. We will then crawl to the new gallery space. Donations from the event will go to the building fund for the new gallery.

Divas Direct
3 Saturdays Film Workshop at the Gallery:
Middle and High School Girls are invited to a free series of Film workshops presented by The San Diego Women Film Foundation and Pam Slater-Price, District 3 Supervisor of San Diego. At the workshop girls will learn to express themselves through scriptwriting, filming, storyboarding, cinematography and editing while making a public service announcement for the county of San Diego.

Dates: Sat. May 31st, June 7th, 9am - 4pm
Sat. June 14th, 9am - 1pm
(Film premiere party to be announced)

May is Fashion Week in Downtown Escondido
The EAP is hosting the Fashion-Runway Show with a recycling theme Friday, May 9th. All week the Downtown Business Association will be putting on fashion related events downtown. see the website

Be a part of the recycling workshop Sat. April 12, for Art Connection, to make accessories and farmers market bags out of recycled materials . Items may also be entered in the Rock, Paper, Scissors recycling show (recieving March 14th & 15th)

We are also having a Trunk Show at the gallery of recycled goods May 6th - the 10th. If you would like to be in the Trunk show please let me know...send me your contact info. and jpg's of your work for the promotional material. (the gallery takes a 40% commission on sales during the Trunk Show)

...You are encouraged to submit your ‘recycled’ art objects and/or fashion for the Rock, Paper, Scissors Gallery Exhibit and Escondido Fashion week 2008. Please see the prospectus for detailed instructions on how, when and where to submit your work to the Gallery for jurying.

Receiving dates are Friday and Saturday March 14th and 15th (for the gallery show and runway show) from 11am to 2pm. minors*(Please bring a parent/guardian to the Gallery on the receiving dates to sign the model release.) There are cash prizes for both events.

Fashions from Rock, Paper, Scissors maybe featured at the ‘Recycled’ Runway Show, May 9th, shown during fashion week. If you are chosen to show your designs in the fashion show you can model your own piece(s) (or we can find a model). Since there will be people photographing the fabulousness, models who are minors must have their parent/guardian sign a release allowing them to model in the show. Receiving for just the Runway show is April 15th or April 19th, 11-2pm

Ricky Lizalde from Project Runway Season 4, Escondido native, will be a guest of honor for Fashion Week(maybe a judge too).

If you are an artist/designer who would like to make items for the fashion show, including clothing, accessories, purses, hats, jewelry,etc. out of non-toxic recyclable materials for the runway show please contact Wendy at the gallery.

Mr. Shrine will be in the gallery the week of Dec.11-14th to make a memory box, or fire memory boxes.

Also, Saturdays in December we will have artists in the gallery selling their jewelry for the holidays. Please stop in between 4-8pm.
