“Local Color” Mural
“The Hidden Valley” Daniel Hernandez (c) 2019
The Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery has collaborated with the Escondido Charitable Foundation on this iconic exterior mural on the east wall of the Escondido Municipal Gallery. The 12 foot by 20 foot Local Color mural is the artist’s original vibrant design with a compelling visual story about Escondido’s rich history and cultural identity.
This gift of art to the people of Escondido was made possible by a generous grant from the
Escondido Charitable Foundation (an affiliate of the San Diego Charitable Foundation).
The Local Color mural is on the east-facing wall of the Escondido Municipal Gallery at
262 East Grand Avenue at Juniper street in downtown Escondido adjacent to the Heritage Garden park.
The Escondido Municipal Gallery is located at 262 E. Grand Ave.
